To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to complete the following essential duties and responsibilities: Accurately select and place flooring product orders on pallets, then shrink-wrap each pallet to ensure secure handling of heavy materials. Read shipping orders to determine the quantity and type of transportation needed. Ensure the accuracy of all shipping documents and maintain related data. Collect documentation for outbound freight and route it to the appropriate record-keeping unit. Pick orders for shipment and assemble various types of merchandise. Schedule inbound and outbound freight to align with warehouse operations. Contact carrier representatives to arrange and provide instructions for loading products. Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently. Maintain a clean, neat, and organized work environment. Keep an equipment checklist and perform preventative maintenance on equipment. Perform additional duties as required or requested.
